  Family History Tasks #1  Partner Sites Access      Did you know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints  has made agreements with different  commercial Family History companies.    When a member  has a FamilySearch account they can  have FREE access to several other genealogy companies.    These companies can be very useful in  continuing research.      On the left hand side of the Detail page under the heading search records.    There are seven options including FamilySearch.     This is a list of Partner sites not including FamilySearch and Google.   It is not difficult to get access to these sights to increase one's tools for genealogy.    Here is a link to Partner Access , It has links and direct This is a 9 minute video done in 2018 Video of Partners .    It goes over Account settings  and different Partner Access sites.  The information about the partner sites at 3:30.  Linking Family Search to Ancestry   ( 8 minutes) Connect FamilySearch to the Partners   (2

                                                                                                             Searching of Family Search My favorite way to search Family Search is by my ancestor.        I think the simplest way is to use the person page.   On the right-hand side, there is a Search Records tab.           Each of these different databases will populate the information of the specific ancestor of the person page.     The Family Search linksends you directly into the records.      It searches with the information that is on that page.    The critical point is that the information on the person page should be as accurate as possible to find the correct records.            Once we have created the accounts with the partner sights, it is straightforward to use the Ancestry, Find my Past, and My Heritage as other choices.    Above is an excellent method to find ancestors in records.
